Pyrrhalta viburni is a species of leaf beetle native to Europe and Asia, commonly known as the viburnum leaf beetle. Introduced to North America in 1947, it can "skeletonize" Viburnum bushes, eventually killing them.[1] In England the Royal Horticultural Society has named Pyrrhalta viburni as the country's "number one pest species".[2]
